Map Your Code

About

Map Your Code is an ongoing workshop series that explores personal identity through cultural geography, music, and place. The project asks participants to examine the interplay between where they are now and where they came from, uncovering the unique "code" of their personal DNA through mapping exercises.

Participants explore what they're drawn to—the soundtracks of their lives, the food they love to eat, and where they come from. The goal is to identify and inform one's personal journey and goals.

The workshops have been facilitated at Flux Factory's Nobody's Fashion Week (curated by Lexi Ho-Tai, Jaime Iglehart, Dew Igworia-Onwuka and Johanna Schwab, held virtually), the Dissolving Borders Exhibition, and through online platforms, making the methodology accessible to diverse communities.
